Our Mission

Our team's goal is to design, fabricate and race a scaled Formula-One-style car in the annual, Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), Formula SAE event.

Operating on the premise that we have been contracted to produce a prototype car for evaluation as a potential production item we will endeavor to engineer the car concurrently with as short a “time-to-market” margin as possible.

To make our goal a reality, FormulaSAE @ UOIT will require capital, management and engineering expertise, state-of-the-art prototyping facilities, and a fully equipped workshop suited to our needs.

FormulaSAE recognizes that a multi-disciplinary approach is critical to the success of our team which is why we encourage the participation of dynamic and enthusiastic students from all faculties as we strive to promote intra-University synergy @ UOIT.

Our team is seeking out dedicated students from UOIT and Durham College who are looking to expand their knowledge and theory from the classroom by applying it to a real world project.  This project offers students the opportunity to get valuable hands on experience - and have fun doing it.
